We are happy to inform our devotees that Swami Tyaganandaji Maharaj, Minister in charge of Ramakrishna Vedanta Society, Boston, U.S.A. has kindly agreed to deliver a special discourse on “Four Simple Exercises” on Friday the 16th April, 2010 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at our Sarada Auditorium. Devotees are requested to avail of this opportunity and attend the discourse.
Yoga Shivir
We are glad to inform our devotees that the first yoga camp which is presently being conducted has invoked tremendous response. Two batches of trainees, each with 25 members, are presently undergoing training. We have already received a number of requests for further training. The next camp will be held in the months of May and June every Saturday and Sunday. There will be two batches, one from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. and the other from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Those who are desirous of undergoing the training may enroll their names by paying a sum of Rs. 500/- as fees which includes a Yoga Kit. We are really fortunate that an acclaimed yoga expert is conducting the programme. The enrollment will be done on the basis of first come first served.
Appeal
We had announced two welfare schemes in the month of April, 2009, (i) Free distribution of milk to 100 beneficiaries, mainly to poor children and a few expectant mothers and (ii) Scholarship to poor and meritorious students (Rs. 2,000/- each). Both the schemes would involve an expenditure of nearly Rs. 4 Lakhs which in turn would require an endowment of Rs. 50 Lakhs. As on date 112 donors have contributed a sum of Rs. 14,70,042/- for the Sarada Milk Endowment and 127 donors have contributed a sum of Rs. 16,54,744/- for the Sarada Scholarship Endowment. We hope that our devotees who can afford to donate would do so liberally and help us achieve the target before 31/3/2010. The cheques, drafts, etc may be drawn in the name of ‘Ramakrishna Mission, New Delhi’ and sent along with our printed Endowment Form or a letter from the donor stating that the donation is for creating an endowment.
